Parking garages are intended for stays of any length. The garages also serve as the primary parking location for downtown employees. Salem has two parking garages—the Downtown and Waterfront garages. Both are no more than a ten-minute walk from any downtown destination.
The Downtown Garage costs $0.75 per hour. The Waterfront Garage costs $0.25 per hour.
Both garages operate from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM Sunday through Wednesday and from 7:00 AM to 2:00 AM Thursday through Saturday.
At this time, monthly passes are only available to the general public for the Downtown Garage. Monthly passes provide the convenience of parking at the garage without having to pay every time you exit. At $65 per month, the Downtown Garage monthly pass is also a great value. You’ll be able to save a lot by getting a pass instead of paying the hourly rate.
The pass allows you to come and go as many times as you like every day of the month. Please note—the pass does not guarantee a space is available.
Meters in Waterfront Garage
The first floor of the Waterfront Garage has parking meters. The cost is the same as the rest of the garage—$0.25 per hour—but you must move your car after four hours.
